Essay 2-05; My Happy Place

I introduce to my secret place in Kumamoto. My secret place is Honmyo – temple. This place is near my house. Do you know Kiyomasa Kato? He is held a ceremony there. He is a historic person.

This place will be held a festival in the latter half of every July. This festival is called “Tonshae”. We usual call “Tonsha”. Also, many people will visit with family, lovers, friends and so on. They often wear yukata or jinbei. The night always bustles and they spend a good night. On this festival day, both sides of the street are lined with stalls. These are about 150 stalls. Many stalls sell many kinds of shaved ice, ice candy, cotton candy, candies shaped many characters, frankfurters, grilled chicken, chow mein, juice, grilled squid, masks, yo – yo, goldfish and so on. We must go up in stone steps until we arrive at the top of Honmyo – temple. They are tired, but they can enjoy until the last because many stalls are lined until the top. They reach the top soon if they talk with family, lovers, friends and so on, eat kinds of food or play a game.

I went this festival with my friends last year. A friend and I wore yukata. This festival day is the first day that I will wear yukata or jinbei on the year because the event is held on the beginning summer. I can see to local friends on this event, so I can have a good time. I took university friends to this event. I want many friends to visit my local festival, so this summer festival is so funny! Please come “Tonsha” next year :) I will be looking forward to see you.

A Watermelon

August 9.

There was a watermelon in a refrigerator.

I like a watermelon very much.

So, I cut and ate it.

I felt summer after I ate it.

I became full.

August 8.

I made banana juice because there were some bananas and I wanted to drink banana juice.

First, I put a frozen banana, milk, yogurt and ices in a blender.

Then, switch on the blender.

So, completion!!!!!

It was very easy. It was cold and delicious;)

Chillmore Castle

Max Moon was in Chillmore Castle. Nat and Norm Nuckle were bullies. When everyone waited to go in the gate, the brothers caught him. Max was said "moon face, scaredy cat and tremble puss". The bullies said that there was a ghost in the castle. Everyone watched many places in the castle. They also watched a secret tunnel. This castle lived a fierce knight long ago. Suddenly, Max yelled. Everyone laughed. Norm put ice cubes down his shirt. Everyone told about ghost stories. The bullies caught Max and brought in the castle. Max had to spend the night in the castle alone. The bullies made fun of Max. An he was a dungeon, he heard a sound behind him. It was Sir Hal the Horrible. He laughed him because the ghost were so friendly. He wasn't frighten at all. Max tried to help him. So, he taught the ghost how to be frighten people. He was always scared the twins. He came back to a tent. So, the ghost appeared in the front of them and they were surprised. The ghost could be scared, so he was s true knight.

Highwayman's Halt

Polly ran The Highwayman's Halt and Polly small helped her father. The inn spent over three hundred years old. They had so few customers. The only guest of this inn was Mr. Trix. There was Flintlock's treasure in the inn because Percy Flintlock hid the money long ago. Mr. Trix hatched a plot. Polly decided to find the treasure. She spent the day for searching these. As she got out, she found the sign. She found Flintlock's treasure. So, his ghost appeared. Just then, Mr. Trix robbed the treasure and ran away. The ghost and Polly chased Mr. Trix with a ghostly house. The townfolk were surprised at seeing ghosts. Mr. Trix jumped into the sea by car. Then the police dragged him. The ghosts were popular at the inn.

Grimly Grange

Grimly Grange was a old house. Recently the Grange hadn't a single visitor. The ghosts of the Grange were bored. One day, people were in the courtyard. The people were show directors. The ghosts were so exited. They prepared for the TV cameras. The program started. The ghosts wanted to appear but they made only mistakes. The strange figures was discovered visitors and they ran off.

I recommend this book because several stories were written and the writer wrote many funny ghosts. I could enjoy reading this book.

Moving

My grandfather moved to new house on July 27.
New house is near before house.
I went to school from my grandfather's house to the school child.
But I haven't seen my grandfather since I moved to new house.
I went to his house for the long time on July 26 because I wanted to help,
but it was finished.
On July 28, my family went to his house to help in the morning.
We put out luggage from the box and put it in the shelf.
He had a lot of luggage.
