Bowling & Lunch

January 17.
A bowling meet was held from 11 am in a bowling alley of a traffic center. Our club gathered 10 people. We had good times and grew our times. Then we won the second place in a division of women and gave a gift certificate. It was finished past 2 pm and we ate out lunch in Tsuruya. We ate omlet containing fried rices and parfaits. It was delicious. I ate many kinds of omlet.

Essay 2-05; My Happy Place

I introduce to my secret place in Kumamoto. My secret place is Honmyo – temple. This place is near my house. Do you know Kiyomasa Kato? He is held a ceremony there. He is a historic person.

This place will be held a festival in the latter half of every July. This festival is called “Tonshae”. We usual call “Tonsha”. Also, many people will visit with family, lovers, friends and so on. They often wear yukata or jinbei. The night always bustles and they spend a good night. On this festival day, both sides of the street are lined with stalls. These are about 150 stalls. Many stalls sell many kinds of shaved ice, ice candy, cotton candy, candies shaped many characters, frankfurters, grilled chicken, chow mein, juice, grilled squid, masks, yo – yo, goldfish and so on. We must go up in stone steps until we arrive at the top of Honmyo – temple. They are tired, but they can enjoy until the last because many stalls are lined until the top. They reach the top soon if they talk with family, lovers, friends and so on, eat kinds of food or play a game.

I went this festival with my friends last year. A friend and I wore yukata. This festival day is the first day that I will wear yukata or jinbei on the year because the event is held on the beginning summer. I can see to local friends on this event, so I can have a good time. I took university friends to this event. I want many friends to visit my local festival, so this summer festival is so funny! Please come “Tonsha” next year :) I will be looking forward to see you.

Essay 2-04; My Delightful Community Life

My community life is a club in university. My club is "Lacrosse". Our university clubs consist of P.E. committee, culture community, a cheering party and a cheerleading, the welfare of the people committee, circle alliance secretariat, Gakusho society and the evening school council. I belong to circle alliance secretariat. It composes of 19 clubs. To my surprise, Lacrosse is one of 5 biggest clubs. They are volunteer group "Asunaro", Aozora - katsudotai, Easy do sports loving club, Passing and Lacrosse. Lacrosse and other clubs are active every Wednesday.

Member of Lacrosse is 17 freshmen, 14 sophomore and 17 junior. But junior retired by Takuma festival. Then sophomore decided new post. I became vice – head. Changing the new club, we were active many times. Our club was changed completely.
Our active is mainly to play sports and go anywhere. For example, we played soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, baseball, table tennis, badminton, long skipping rope and so on. Then we went to Mt. Kimpo, Aso, Tamana, in a river, in a sea, a trip, see illuminations and eat dinner. Others, we did BBQ, fireworks, game taking pictures. We are going to do things that we have never done and go the places that we have never been.

Purposes which I do club active are for exchange several grades and department, living a full university life, learning many things. In fact, entering this club, we learned how to bring the club together, to understand member’s situations, the respect due to theirs superiors and other many things from elder person. I think this chance is a good thing. We must teach to younger person like this and we also learn more.

Our next plans are to have reelection in December and do winter camp in spring vacation. In reelection, we will introduce other clubs and must make many people know Lacrosse. Many club’s head will come our party. We will know new head at that time. In winter camp, we will go skiing in Hiroshima. I went there last year. I enjoyed this event very much. I want to enjoy skiing new members more. Others, I want to plan pleasant events more. I want them to wait these events and tell sophomore to things that they want to do. So, we will be able to enjoy more.

Our club’s situation and aim tell you. Our club changed our generation and we must think more about our club and freshmen. We should please membership and are delightful actives. I started to understand hard of the oldest grade. I think we will have much hard since now. We would like to create our Lacrosse with freshmen.

I think club can't make up only a club. We should get along with other clubs and help each other. It is important for us to have connection with other clubs. Then my goal is as if we are like brothers or sisters. We want to be able to talk about our worries, happiness or every thing. All members would like to be able to spend comfortable time in a club.

Essay 2-02: I lov Takema ~ Favorite Place

My favorite place is Takema ravine.　There is in Yamaga and have 10 lodges and 18 tents. I first went there with friends of Lacrosse last summer vacation and also went there this summer vacation. I like the place because we can swim in the river, enjoy in a lodge and a tent, make and eat meals together and rent cheaply.

Next, I introduce good points about Takema ravine.Takema ravine is place encircled by the trees. We enjoyed the wonderful natural view of the ravine. There is the river and we can do fishing. A feeling of the night and the noon change completely. We can breathe fresh air and feel relaxed because there is in a mountain. Then the river flows and there are many lodges and tents at the upper. The river is very cold but we swim in the river and put a watermelon, too. The river has many natural slides and we slide and enjoy the river. We're carried because the current of the river is strong. Also, we can use a roomy lodge which has upstairs rooms, an air ‐ conditioning, a shower room and a kitchen. We spent comfortable time. Many families do BBQ in both sides of the river. We played with many children. The children were horsing around. They were very pretty. At night, we do BBQ at a veranda. At first, we make a rice ball, build a fire, cut many vegetables and meat. I found that meal which eat together is very delicious. We can see many stars during the night. We were impressed by watching a meteor stream last year. We were out and watched
these between the trees with stretching ourselves out on earth. We couldn't watch these this year but we could watch many stars. Takema ravine can enjoy from children to adult, so I think that this place is popular. Children swim in the river and adults drink with BBQ. We will be able to spend good time. I'm sure that they will add to one of their good memories. We can borrow tableware and so on in Takema ravine. So, we can decrease our luggages. We enjoy swimming in the river, talking in the lodge and tent, doing BBQ, watching stars and so on. It all happened in an instant because I had good days. There is a hot spring at the short way place.

I think you will spend wonderful days because you can feel nature and relax. Then it's a good experience for our to do BBQ and cook our own meals. Please go there by all means. I'm sure that you will like outdoor.

Tennis & Post decision

On September 24.
I played tennis with club member in Hamasen Health Park. I have played soft tennis when I was a junior high school and a high school student, but I have never played tennis. Today was the first day that I played tennis. At first, I played with ball. Then we started the games. We paired off into couples. My pair was an experienced man of soft tennis. We won all games step by step. It was difficult to play tennis but my pair was followed up my failures. Thanks to him, we could win a position of leadership. We were very happy.

Then we went to eat dinner. We had a good dinner time with each other.

Next, we went back near university. We came to decide new post in our generation. All men didn't become a head because the post was very busy. At last, we decided the head by lots. We had not just hit upon a good point though we thought much idea. Our head decided such these. A decided man was suited the head position:) While I'm on the subject, I became a vice - head. The post was another person. So, another was a man who paired off into couple when we played tennis today.

I met to 6 friends of club member after a long time. We couldn't meet well during summer vacation. Then we went to grilled slices of meat restaurant which a boy of a club member was working. September 9.
My 4 friends and I went to Kagoshima for taking a hotspring.
One of them is from Kagoshima, so we went there.
We ate lunch in Kagoshima. It was funny because everyone chose similar lunch.
Then we went to an aquqrium. I have been there once when I was a junior high school student. I had a good time. Next, we went to convenience store and decided which hotspring we went. We could relaxed. At night, we went to a boy’s house which is from Kagoshima and ate dinner. His mother made us cooked Okonomiyaki and Rahmen. They were so delicious. We went back to Kumamoto carefully.

August 23.

We were going to go to see fireworks but it was rain.
So, a friend and I went another friend's home to get a souvenir from Kagoshima. There were other 3 friends because they stayed in his house. Then we talked, listened to music, played a video game and watched DVD. A friend went a lesson on the way in the evening. We thought what we do since now. We decided to do Yakiniku. 2 friends came and we went to meet the friend who were going the lesson. On the way to his house, I rode in my family's car and went there. We separated into buying food and preparing at home. I went buying food. I cut vegetables and so on, and we started Yakiniku from 9 o'clock pm!!! I haven't be hungry yet but I ate Yakiniku. They lasted till past 12 o'clock am. After we cleared the table and watched TV. I have already slept. For a while, a friend and I went back home.

Sea of Shiratsuru-ga-hama

August 18-19.
A student council camp was held in Shiratsuru-ga-hama bathing place.
We gathered at a convenience store near university at 10 am. Then we went to next meeting place. At last, we left for the bathing place. I went there for the first time. On the way, we dropped in EAON and ate lunch. A car on which I got was later than other’s car because we stopped on the way J It was raining outside. After lunch, we left again. We took the wrong way…We turned back halfway and went to the right way. When we arrived, everyone was bathing in the sea. We changed bathing suits or swimming trunks and went into the sea. I enjoyed playing in the sea. My 2 friends and I got out of the sea. Everyone got out after a short time, too. We started preparing BBQ. After BBQ, we played with skyrockets. We enjoyed and had a good time. The night was very long and cheerful. Next morning, we must check out at 9 am. We broke up at the place. 2 people and I got on a car. I drove on the way. We reached Joyful and ate lunch. But we left…We did janken and I was defeated. I drove again.

*Fire Works in Hitoyoshi*

August 15.
Today was held a fire works festival in Hitoyoshi.
So, a woman and I went there to watch them.
We went out in Kumamoto at 3 o’clock pm. It took about three hours by car till arriving there.
My friend and a navigation system taught me how to go there.
We passed on a mountain road.
We arrived at about 6 pm.
I sent an E-mail to other friend who returning in Hitoyoshi because I knew the girl would come here. So, she was very surprised.
We ate French fried potatoes and deep-fried chicken before starting. They started at 7:30 pm. They were very big! We gave a shout of joy; ) They were the best of watching this year. They were held till at 9 pm and so long time.
We were glad to watch them. We went back at about 10 pm. We arrived at 12 am. It took 2 hours.
Our journey finished!

*Fire Works in Kumamoto Castle*

August 8.

I have already seen fire works three times this year.
In Green Land, Tamana and the second enclosure of Kumamoto castle.

I went to see there with 10 friends.
Many girls put on Yukata and a boy put on Jinbei.

We watched ET-KING live from 6:30 pm and went to buy foods.
I ate a fried chicken.
Fire works started from 8:00 pm.
Many heart model's fire works were displayed.
They were so wonderful.
After they finished, we could meet many friends.

Then some friends went back, and 2 friends and I went to our friend's part-time job shop.
We watched some magics. We were amazed these.
1 friend went back, so we went to Mac.

We talked about seeing other fire works, going hot springs and so on.

August 3-4.
12 Lacrosse's sophomores and 1 friend went to Takema campground.
We went there last year. So, again!!!

We gathered at a convenience store near university at 9:30 am.
Then we got on assigned car and went to buy drinks and vegetables.
We arrived at Takema campground in the afternoon.
We changed bathing suits and went to river with a watermelon.
Water was very cold. There were many families and adorable children.

We went back our lodge and relaxed.
We started preparing BBQ in the evening.
We cut vegetables, cooked rice and made a fire with charcoal.
We had a pleasant evening.
Then, a friend and I went out and talked.
We couldn't watch many shooting stars though we had been able to watch these last year.
After a few hours, we went back our lodge and put up a room in order.
Next, we talked with everyone during all night.

Next morning, breakfast was rice and miso soup.
Then we prepared for going back.
I was glad to go with together.

Fire Works in Tamana

August 1.
I went to watch fire works in Tamana with 3 friends. I drove until there, so I went to meet near my friends' house. Until a friend and I arrived there, it was a traffic jam. After I got on my car, we went away in Tamana. Though we wanted to arrive there, a traffic jam was hard. On my way to Tamana, other friends called me. They have already arrived there. We also hurried there. We saw all fire works in the car because we weren't in time. They were so beautiful! We could manage without sweat:) After they finished, we got off the car and went to stalls on the street.Then we met some friends and ate a shaved ice and a frankfurter. For a while, we went back.
I want to go there in time again next year.
